Hello! I am a 26-year-old English teacher. I love reading, hiking, exploring nature, discussing movies, meeting new people, but most of all, I love to travel. One of the greatest joys in life is meeting unique people from around the world and learning more about each other's lives. I like to broaden my horizons and get out of my comfort zone as much as possible. I also LOVE trying food from around the world, and I would try pretty much anything. I'm also always down for karaoke, trivia, or cribbage.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I believe that meeting locals and having more unique experiences, like couch surfing, is the best way to travel. You better understand the place if you can meet locals and hear where they like to go in the city. I try to collect interesting stories, and I believe this is one way to do that.

Music, Movies, and Books

I enjoy listening to female artists like Fiona Apple, Boy Genius, Mitski, Joni Mitchell, etc. But I will listen to just about anything! My favorite movies are Pride and Prejudice, Call Me by Your Name, Before Sunrise, and Les Misérables. It's hard for an English teacher to choose my favorite books, but they would probably be East of Eden, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, and Eat, Pray, Love.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I taught English for 5 months in Northeastern Thailand (Isan). It was far from any tourist areas, so I was able to experience a different side of Thailand that most foreigners don’t to. I will always treasure my time there.

Teach, Learn, Share

I would love any local knowledge about the place you live. I am open to learning anything and everything! I like to hear about what life is like in other countries and have deep conversations. I like to take what I learn back to my job and share my experiences with my students, and encourage them to travel overseas when they grow up.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I have a pretty sweet cabin in the woods with a guest bedroom. I can also give you good recommendations for places to visit in area. Just FYI, I typically only accept requests from women or couples.
