I'm Elizabeth - 25 years old from Baltimore, MD and now living in San Jose, CA. By day I'm a financial analyst and pretty much all of the rest of the time I'm cooking, dancing, watching my favorite shows (GoT! House of Cards!), or walking somewhere while listening to a podcast. I travel every chance I can take a short vacation from work, and there are so many places I want to visit.

For most of my leisure traveling I've stayed in hostels. That works fine in some cities at certain times of he year, but in some places it seems the choice is between a not-very-clean, antisocial hostel or totally blowing my budget. But I still want to go, and see, and do so I won't let that stop me. Couchsurfing sounds like a solution to the challenges of budget traveling, while still offering a way to meet locals and other travelers (why I don't stay in regular hotels even at low cost). I'm new here, but excited to try it!
