About Me

Hi! I'm a junior in college studying Literature with a concentration in Creative Writing, with minors in Spanish and Computer Game Design. I love books, art, and stories of all kinds! I'm also a lover of video games––careful with talking to me about them, I'll talk your head off haha.

I grew up in a small town in Pennsylvania near the New York border in the United States, but I go to school outside the Washington, DC area. My life experience has been very American, but I'm super interested in learning about other cultures and meeting different people!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm super new to Couchsurfing, but I'm very excited to meet new people and make new friends. Traveling the world is a dream of mine, but I've always considered the people in distant places to be what makes traveling so great (though the sites are pretty nice, too). Couch surfing seems to be full of people willing to meet up and talk, and I'm hoping to use it to connect with people I wouldn't otherwise have met.

Si hablas español, habla conmigo! Necesito practicar mucho, y me gusta hablar español lo más que yo podría

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Anything with a good beat or cool lyrics!

Books: Oh goodness don't make me choose. Some of my favorite authors are John Green, E. Lockhart, Lauren Oliver, J.K Rowling - the list goes on and on

Movies: Superhero/actions movies, movies with twist endings or intricate plots

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I was in high school, my Spanish class took a two week trip to Spain to practice our Spanish and see the country. We went to the beach in Barcelona, and there was a pier there with like a twenty-foot drop into the ocean. We didn't see any signs that said "No jumping", only signs that said "No fishing"––so of course we jumped off! It was thrilling, falling off this huge pier into the water!

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach: Spanish and English language, writing tips, good books/movies/video games, American food and culture, cooking in general - I sometimes read recipes for fun, so I've got a lot of knowledge about how to make some delicious dishes

Learn: About the world and everything within it!

Share: Stories, experiences - everything really! I can tell you anything you want to know, or give some great recommendations for books to read

What I Can Share with Hosts

A love of jokes! I know so many corny jokes and puns, if you like to laugh then I can bring the punch-line (Ooof that one was bad, sorry!)

I'm also fluent in Spanish and English, so if you want to practice your language skills I can help : )

A lot of knowledge and passion about things - I love to socialize, and I've got a lot of cool stories and knowledge about the world to share. Did you know that octopuses have three hearts? Well, now you do!
