CURRENT MISSION

To give back after many experiences of hospitality years ago when I was travelling !! Also to teach Megi best ways to travel and cope with various situations and learn from other people who are travelling for whatever reason.

ABOUT ME
We are just trying the no meat, wheat, sugar, processed food scene !! - working well for us at the moment. Fish, vegetables, pulses, some grains & fruit work for us !!
Self employed for last 25 years. Just started a new exciting online business so that I can travel more.
Single currently and straight!
I would love to dance every night of the week and learn new dances !!!
Love travelling and going on holiday.
Hope to live abroad again part time after Megi has sorted out job / uni - in the sun somewhere. Just love waking up and putting shorts on and feeling the sun on me rather than putting up an umbrella !!!

Just looking into Greg Baer's Real Love philosophy / way of life at the moment. There seems to be a lot to be said for it - very new to it right now tho and it's not easy - but that's a good thing - expecting another one of his books to arrive today - so watch this space.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am interested in couch surfers who come over on a course or have an activity they are doing rather than being in my home wanting to be entertained or have English lessons - i would love to have the time but I don't so cannot accommodate anyone who needs this experience. Sorry.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have travelled round the world with a rucksack, couchsurfing / youth hosteling for over a year (a few years ago now) and totally loved it - met so many people and had so many cultural experiences in local people's homes etc. Went to so many great places and I want to do it again short term after my daughter leaves home possibly next year.

My daughter is going travelling after her exams in August 2015 and I want to show her how couch surfing works by being a host, hopefully making some contacts etc.

I want to offer people somewhere to stay & make contacts - preferably while they are studying / working for a while - happy if they are travelling too - where they are welcome but not dependant on us to show them around etc as we are busy with businesses etc.

Keeping fit, cycling, charity work, socialising, holistic therapies, photography, my home and garden (altho you'd never know it at the mo!), rowing, cinema, rock and roll dancing / jive, live bands / festivals, reading, nutrition, playing the flute, doing courses whatever they are as I love learning new things (welding, social media, media studies, accounting, theory of music) ! and now teaching my daughter to drive - always an interesting few hours !!!

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Raised the most beautiful, loving, intelligent, caring, level headed, daughter now 19 totally on my own with no support !!! she's great - got spirit and umpf !!!! !! So proud of her.

Other than that my time travelling was the best experience. We drove down to Lanzarote in my old car to live - Megi is now fluent ... mine is still Work In progress !!!

I have had non English living with me for over 15 years and have always helped them with their language skills. Ran English language intercambio classes in Lanzarote when I lived there.
I can teach the flute after playing it for about 43 years.

I have not had any experience yet through Couchsurf but have done similar outside of here. Best advice - make sure that they know how long they can stay and exactly what is ok and not ok with you before they arrive. I have been surprised by some people ! Mostly lovely surprises.
