I am currently teaching English in South Korea, but that is coming to an end this year. I love to see new places and try new things, even if they seem scary at first. Growing up, I was shy and nervous about almost everything, so my parents are very surprised that I now live abroad and travel alone. I can't get enough!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I first joined Couchsurfing just to browse and dream of all the places I wanted to go. Now, I've picked back up again to meet interesting people as I go from place to place.

Interests

I am interested in the reading and writing of fiction. I would like to become more active with feminist, LGBTQ, and equal rights causes. I enjoy watching tv shows and films in my spare time. I also love swimming, snorkeling, and scuba diving.

Music, Movies, and Books

I listen to a lot of genres, but some of my all time favorite artists include The Beatles, Belle and Sebastian, The Smiths, Joni Mitchell, Paul Simon, and Fleet Foxes. Same with movies, all over the place. I like films by Noah Baumbach, David Fincher, Wes Anderson, and Woody Allen. Also, I am obsessed with Mrs. Doubtfire and quote it almost daily. My favorite authors include Margaret Atwood, Haruki Murakami, Stephen King, Richard Yates, Philip Roth, and Dona Tartt.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I am pretty proud of the fact that I moved abroad to teach at the age of 22 not knowing anyone in South Korea.
