I'm a total geek and lover of trivia and learning new things. I also love trying new things, Beyond that I tend to be a bit of a clown. I'm a bit quite until I open up, which is when I often become the loudest person in the room.

Interests

I'm addicted to television and a film buff, particularly science fiction. I tend to walk everywhere and enjoy doing so hiking is a big interest of mine. I love to solve problems and fix things. I also love writing and tend to keep journals when I travel.

Music, Movies, and Books

Why is TV not an option?
Movies: The Goonies is the greatest movie of all time, this is fact :) Beyond that, the best movie I've seen in the past 12 months was Hugo, the movie I'm most looking forward to in the next while is Prometheus.
Music: Currently into Florence an the Machine and the National
Books: Obsession of the moment is the Song of Ice and Fire series by George RR Martin.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

If I had to point to a highlight of my life include walking up Observation Hill on Ross Island, Antarctica with a bunch of friends at close to midnight and touching the memorial to Scott's expedition and staring out at the sea ice and ice shelf.

One of my more recent amazing experiences I've had is the France vs Tonga match Rugby World Cup 2011. Tonga winning against the odds and just being in the ecstatic crowd.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm a massive Antarctic geek and know a lot about the continent, I've been there and are more than happy to share. I've also done most of the touristy stuff in New Zealand.
