Hi, I'm Liz! I'm 26, from Melbourne, Australia. I work as a waitress and barista in a cafe, and I'm a psychology student.
I discovered my love for travelling a few years back when I realised that I could literally just pick up and go. I want to travel for my whole life, follow the summer, and basically just live a happy life. I am travelling with my partner, Denis. We are both easygoing (our friends back home think we take this to a whole new level) , non judgmental, open minded, and excited for new experiences.
We love chatting and wine, laying in the park with a book, cooking dinner, exploring parts of the world we have not seen, learning about different cultures, staying up stupidly late, drinking large amounts of beer, checking out local markets, rummaging around in thrift shops for second hand gems, and the list could go on and on.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To meet new people and get a proper feel of a place. There's something special about walking into somebody's home when you're on your travels - especially when you haven't been in your own for a while.
There's something different about a lot of people on here. Usually a more laid back and accepting bunch. So often you mention couch surfing to someone who has never travelled or heard of it before and you're met with a negative response. I like the inner freedom that travelling gives to people and it's great to meet those people.

Music, Movies, and Books

Denis is a huge music nerd and will listen to almost anything. He sadly sold his record collection to fund some of our current trip so you can ask him about that when you meet him.
I myself love to read books, however, I'm unfortunately one of those people who never finish them. So I have about 30 half read books which I swear I'll finish someday.

Between us we speak three languages - English, Russian, and Armenian. We will be keen teachers if you want to be a student!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I feel funny writing some of this stuff as I feel like I'm trying to sell something. But in all honesty, for some reason Denis and I seem to attract and be attracted to good, genuine people. It seems that everywhere we go we are put into a situation where we somehow meet the most wonderful people. I guess that kind of speaks for itself, we will share lots of things. Food, drinks, laughs, and everything in between.
