About Me

I just moved to Denver this summer after a 4 month cross country road trip with my best friend and now roommate.

I am currently in school to become an elementary teacher. When I'm not doing that, I am camping and hiking as much as possible.

I'm originally from the Midwest (ie the cornfields) so being out in Colorado has me constantly giddy and astonished.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have had nothing but amazing experiences Couchsurfing so. It has been so freaking great to meet couchsurfers from all around the country and world. Every experience has been unique, and has helped us better understand their corner of the world. We have met some of the coolest, most genuine, generous, hilarious, engaging people ever thanks to Couchsurfing.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Greensky Bluegrass, Sufjan Stevens, Neutral Milk Hotel, Kendrick Lamar, Of Monsters and Men, The Beatles, 90s Rap, Nahko and Medicine for the People, Modest Mouse

Movies: I rarely feel like committing to watch a whole movie, and of course end up watching hours of TV instead. I like that characters are more fully developed in TV shows. Also, the lion king of course.

Books: although I finished Infinite Jest a year ago, I still think about it almost daily and am always down to talk about it. I love reading and will take any suggestions. Suzanne and I love finding great new homes for our books when we finish them. My love for Harry Potter will never die.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Returning to school and buckling down after living free on our road trip amazed my parents!

Teach, Learn, Share

If you're interested in learning all about the current educational model for Denver Public Schools, I'm your gal.

I also make a bomb coffee smoothie.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Books, embarrassing stories, smoothies (at times the only food we have, but they're amazing).

Since I'm still new to Denver, I don't know all the best trails, but if you're trying to do a 14er, I just did my first one and can't wait to do another!

Countries I’ve Visited

Argentina, Ecuador, Ireland, Israel, Norway, Peru, Sweden

Countries I’ve Lived In
