About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Following life to everywhere
ABOUT ME
A natural redhead. Wine worshipper. Will never give up coffee. A lot to say. Loves adventures and unplanned plans. Still learning how to say no. Languages are in my blood. Surprises follow me everywhere. I bake better than I cook. Something always amuses me--expect me to giggle for no reason! I like to think life as a constant sitcom.
PHILOSOPHY
Life is what you make it. I know nothing yet many things about life and am trying to keep my philosophy as simple as I could keep it.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
[Currently unavailable to offer a couch as I am now traveling].
I always enjoy meeting new friends, and will try my best to be able to offer the couch despite my super busy schedule. I hosted twice and had wonderful times connecting with them and would love to host more in the future as soon as I settle down for once and all.
If you have my couch, you can expect some sort of plan to be taken out and see the city. You can also make requests--I'll be happy to make these requests happen if they are within my power.
If I am surfing, you can expect me to be quite flexible for what you might have on your mind. I personally believe that locals know their stuff better than I do and would expect them to show me what they know about their city.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
[Old account was . . . old and forgotten as in me no longer having access to my e-mail access--yes, I am one of those people who always forget something]. You may check my old profile: https://www.couchsurfing.org/people/elisy/
I've hosted [German & American folks] and surfed several times [in quite a number of countries]--crazy stories, beautiful epiphanies, and satisfying experiences as a hostess and a guest.
Interests
Languages. Cultures. You. Anything that makes life life and whatever that will give us something to mull over. I adore every kind of connection.

Music, Movies, and Books
I am not a big movie/music person, although I read voraciously.
Current favorites:
* The Depford Trilogy [Robertson Davies]
* The Belgariad & The Mallorean [David Eddings]
* Perfume [Patrick Suskind]
* Candide [Voltaire]
* The Disappearance of the Universe [Gary Renard]
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
* Iguazu Falls--I could claim that I had an overwhelmingly spiritual experience there!
* Scenes from dreams that I never imagined I'd see in real life. How I wish they are real!
* Surviving experiences that I used to think I would not be able to move through
* The surprises of humankind, such as people's kindness, strangers making friends, exceptional gestures of compassion and love, and many other things that make the world such a beautiful place to live in
* Whenever someone will go miles just to make sure we understand each other. It happens many times--and I am always amazed every time it happens.
* Mind-blowing epiphanies
* Sometimes something is so mundane that it is actually amazing :-)
Teach, Learn, Share
I cannot hold myself from blurting out random facts I read or learn from somewhere.
It is my joy to exchange stories about our silly mistakes, our proud moments, and things that surprise us the most about life.
I like to share what I knew about languages and like to discover what I do not know about languages, especially cultures and how they influence languages.
