ABOUT ME

Queer femme vegetarian leftwing scientist and procurer. Haha I don't know if that makes me sound good, or if it's incredibly offputting! Um, I love travelling (obviously :p), meeting new people, geeking out, singing in groups, dancing the night away, and going on adventures.

PHILOSOPHY

There's more to New Zealand than Flight of the Conchords, Lord of the Rings, and sheep.

Interests

I'm suuuuuper geeky so love things like cosplaying at San Diego Comic Con, playing computer games, I'm also pretty musical (playing bassoon and singing), and I love reading, dance (currently learning tap, but also love sales and crossstep waltz) and exploring outside. One of my goals in life is to visit all seven continents!

Music, Movies, and Books

My main interests are fantasy/scifi, also I love comics (Marvel and Boom! and queer indie comics are my faves). Movies: anything by Studio Ghibli, all the Marvel ones, most Disney, anything that's a musical (esp HAMILTON, Rent, & Into the Woods) but also films that have a great soundtrack, like Kill Bill.
TV shows: Adventure Time come on grab your friends. Steven Universe. Avatar: the Last Airbender, Avatar: Legend of Korra. Parks and Recreation. Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Brooklyn 99, The Good Place.
I also love computer games, and am currently playing Kingdom Hearts 3. Other fave games include Bastion, Pyre, Skyrim, Dragon Age, Glitch (gone but not forgotten) and Spyro the Dragon (my childhood)
Music: I play the bassoon, so I love a lot of “classical” type music, but my fave bands/artists are Muse, Janelle Monae, and Mojo Juju

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I recently went scuba diving in Silfra in Iceland - it's a fissure that's opened up between the Eurasian and North American continental plates. Touching both of those at the same time was pretty incredible.
