About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Simply to be as happy and open as possible :)
ABOUT ME
I'm a student at LaTrobe University in Melbourne. Just finished my Arts degree in History and English and am planning to go on to do a Secondary Teaching Degree next. But i am deferring this year and next to travel and take some time out. It'll be nice to just take it slowly and see what life brings.
Have recently taken an interest in Indigenous Australian Issues and Government Policy, so am gearing up towards an Honours thesis on the topic of Oral histories and language as an essential tool for cultural inheritance.
PHILOSOPHY
If you live your life with the desire to bring happiness and smiles to the lives of those around you, these things will automatically follow you everyday.

When i get home, hopefully my couch will be very much open.

Music, Movies, and Books
Love oldschool Jimmy Stewart movies (Harvey, Its a Wonderful Life, Shop Around the Corner etc), and i love movies based on historical events, as well as the classics like LOTR...
I have extremely eclectic taste in music: George Winston piano instrumental, Coldplay, Jack Johnson, the Waifs, Paul Kelly, Chopin, Bizet's The Pearl Fishers (the male aria duet gives me goosebumps).
Couldn't possibly name all the books i love. But i do collect antique collectible books. I have a copy of Moby Dick published in 1914...love it :)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Travelled to Thailand in 2009 and went to the Elephant Nature Park near Chiang Mai in the north. AMAZING day spent feeding, walking, and jumping in the river, with 36 Asian elephants. It was awesome to be able to appreciate them up close without exploiting them or causing pain.
Countries I’ve Visited
Cambodia, Laos, Thailand, United Kingdom
