My Philosophy: Live a conscious, creative, happy life. Follow my curiosity and longings to what inspires, expands and awakens me. Practice mindfulness and loving kindness. I'm drawn to beauty, grace, mystery and that which is wild, soulful, humble, gentle, kind and vulnerable.
I'm currently in a period of transition--taking a sabbatical from work life to travel, meet people and discover more about the world and myself. I've put my remaining belongings into storage and have been on a "wanderabout". I've traveled to Mexico and Argentina and currently I'm on a USA road trip through the Western States. I was caretaker at a retreat center in New Mexico and have been house/pet sitting in California and on Whidbey Island, WA. Beginning in October, I will be exploring more of Oregon and I'm seeking a sublet, housesit, work trade situation over the winter months. I'm hoping to find a new town that feels like "home"--where I can relocate to and start a new chapter in my life. It's an exciting, explorative, meandering journey for me right now. I'm taking things a step at a time and trusting that opportunities and delightful situations will continue to present themselves.

I'm traveling solo on a budget and I'd prefer to meet and stay with locals, make friends, share stories and become part of the traveling community. I'm exploring housesitting, volunteering, AirBNB, WorkAway and Couchsurfing as creative alternatives to the usual tourist lodging.

Interessi

I enjoy cooking, reading, hiking, nature, swimming, yoga, sewing, gardening, animals, listening to podcasts (Ted Radio Hour, This American Life, RadioLab, The Moth, OnBeing), art, live music, theatre, and all kinds of dancing (most recently tango & irish set dancing). I'm currently writing a novel and learning to play the ukulele.
