My name is Ella. I’m from Denmark, and currently living in Aarhus, where I study history of Ideas/intellectual history at the University of Aarhus. I like to write, read, play music , sing, dance, cook and go to the theater.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Couchsurfing seem like a great way to feel like you are traveling and meet new people, while not having time to travel yourself. Instead all the cool international traveling people will come to me! And when I finally do have time to travel, it sounds like a good way to get to know people in all kinds of different places.

Interests

I like playing drums and singing in groups.

I am very interested in contemporary litterature. I have a writing group, where I share my own texts and read the others and give feedback.

I eat a plant-based vegan diet, and am a big fan of Ice-cream, pancakes and toasted rugbrød (Rye-bread).

I find psychoanalysis very interesting, especially the kind the Slavoj Žižek practices - the 'wild analysis'. I am a part of Institut for Vild Analyse (Institut of Wild Analysis) where I read Lacan and try to psychoanalyze society.

Music, Movies, and Books

I really enjoy choir music. I think the choir is an amazing instrument! Other than that I find improvisation very fascinating.

I just saw "Dancer in the Dark" by Lars von Trier. - Sadest thing ever.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I directed a play once, with around 400 students involved... It was crazy.
