ABOUT ME

I am a very curious person. I love to go places I've never been before, meet with new people, and learn new things.

I love nature in all its forms. Hiking, growing vegetables in the garden, walking in the forest, looking for shells on the beach. My kids and I have explored every inch of our neighborhood, from ant hills, to bird's nests, to butterflies, flowers, and bugs.
I try to pay my respects by living as environmentally conscious as I can.

I used to work in the restaurant industry for some odd 15 years. I ran a nice place by the sea, and was lucky enough to have great chefs in the kitchen, and some amazing staff on the floor. So I developed a love for good food and wine. I picked up on a few tricks and enjoy cooking to this day.

As of now, my life consists of studying and taking care of my family. Luckily for me, I love doing both. English literature and linguistics have become two great new passions of mine. Other strong contenders are French literature, and philosophy of course. I spend a lot of my time thinking and watching stars at night.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I would like to host more than I have so far. But most surfers come to the south of Norway in the summertime, when my hostingabilities are limited. I love having people around and I am curious like a 5 year old kid, so I guess that is how I participate. At home and away.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

the few experiences I have had have all been great. From just the coffee and help with finding my ways around places I see for the first time to bbq in the garden with some chilled out surfers stopping by kristiansand..

Music, Movies, and Books

Film: Anything by Jeunet; City of the lost children, Amelie etc. Kung-Fu movies.. and no matter how bad the movie is, you finish watching what you started. a painful philosophy at times.

Music: Old rock music; neil young, hendrix, rolling stones, led zeppelin, pink floyd and anything new thats worth listening to.

books: i read anything. all time favourite reading though is a comicseries called Rocky.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

morningworkout in any park in india, the variety of people and clothing and what they do to workout is impossible to express in words but fantastic to watch or be part of.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can organize anything from private dinners to events. I have catered far out islands in Norway and I used to be a weddingplanner. After my 150th wedding I moved over to managing. I am a wiz with numbers and I also know quite a lot about birds in Sweden? I can teach you the languages I speak :)
