One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The first time I wore a sari for a wedding in India, I had no idea how to put it on. A good friend of the groom's was supposed to help me, but she had disappeared from the face of the earth just before the ceremony. So I ran around my hotel in a panic, half-dressed, trying to find someone who could help me. I stumbled into a group and two women, mother and daughter, grabbed me and took me to their room and finished dressing me. I was quite grateful and happy. When I thanked them and said how glad I was to have met them, the mom said to me: You know Veronika, sooner or later in life we always find the right people <3
