Based on the places I've lived (Chicago, Montreal, NYC) I am very much a city girl. But I spend much of my time getting out of the city (hiking, skiing, camping). I've just finished university in Montreal and am figuring out where to go and what to do next!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

A few years ago I had the opportunity to travel to Southeast Alaska and spend some time hiking and kayaking. On a layover day we decided to explore the Mendenhall glacier. What I had never realized is that it was possible to safely climb down into crevices in the ice and explore the caves created between the rock and glacial ice. Engulfed in blue light with 15' of ice above me, the roaring sound of water echoing on every surface, I've never felt as isolated or in awe.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love this idea. I think that we can be constantly learning from the people around us, and that the most important lessons come outside of the classroom. I would love to get my hands dirty if anyone is into permaculture or organic farming! I'm also interested in the pedagogies of education itself and believe that teaching is the best way to learn.
