ABOUT ME

I love adventures, either it is in the world or in my kitchen, experimenting with food. Unfortunately school has to come first and most days I divide between studying and seeing my friends. On the exciting occasions where I do find myself able to travel, the experience is always a treasure.

Now that I am finished with school (for the time being that is) I feel it is time to explore!

PHILOSOPHY

I live my life to find joy. Some days its muddled with studying and writing research papers but I believe that every moment we live is significant and why spend it in an ordinary way when we can all be extraordinary?

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I would love to start traveling more around the world and in a small way give back to anyone who wants to visit me in my tiny college town in Athens, Ga.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have only couchsurfed once, in New York, and it was wonderful. It was only for a day, but the guy I stayed with was very welcoming and we had fun making dinner and sitting on the roof, chatting, for a long time.

Interests

I love photography, listening to records, biking, running, meeting new people, cooking, watching movies, conversations, traveling, hiking, and talking about almost anything of interest!

My MAIN interests recently have been yoga and enjoying the summer by riding my bike everywhere.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: Anything by Miyazaki, Cleo from 5 to 7, Breathless, Sunset Blvd., Fifth Element, Singin' In the Rain, Black and white films as well as most French New Wave cinema (I LOVE to watch movies)
Books: Jane Austin, Dostoevsky, Tolstoy, Beckett, Gladwell, Wilde, but mostly I am busy reading the Economist and New York Times
Music: one of my favorite bands is Reptar, they are local to Athens and are incredible. Arcade Fire, As Tall As Lion, Johnny Flynn, Edith Piaf, Sufjan Stevens, Bon Iver, Radiohead, M. Ward, Mumford & Sons, to list just a few

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Made a short movie in less than a week and it was the most stressful and most amazing time I've ever had!
