Hi! I'm Ellie. I was born and raised in Colorado, USA. I travelled frequently with my family when I was younger visiting many countries in Europe, China and Panama. I chose to attend college in the wonderful state of Iowa... I know, who would ever leave Colorado?!, I still ask myself that question. But, two and a half year later I am still there. This past semester starting in January I was studying in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. I never wanted to leave.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My semester abroad lined up perfectly with my brothers travels around the globe, so, we decided that we should take advantage of this time off that we both have to travel Europe together. He has raved about this website and knew this would be the perfect way to make the most of our time.

Interests

I am still developing my interest in life at the moment. I spent my childhood and high school and college years thus far playing volleyball so I haven't been fully able to discover other passions. Traveling has been instilled in my blood. I love talking to people and getting to know them. I'm sill figuring out how I want to make an impact on the world. I enjoy studying social sciences

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm a huge movie goer. Honestly I love Rom Coms, super cheesy Christmas movies, but also Casablanca, Indiana Jones (not the most recent one), really anything. I spedn many days watching documentaries on Netflix, Black Fish was definitely one of my favorites. I am developing my specific taste for music but finding out that I really all of it just depends on the mood. Gone Girl is up there for me in terms of books. I plan on reading a lot more on this trip.. so ask me later!
