Overview
About Me
I just finished travelling around Asia for 3 months, my first solo travelling trip (cut short by coronavirus, sadly) and am hoping to go on more adventures this summer!
In June, I'm hoping to do some "bikepacking" and camping across Europe, so I can spend plenty of time outdoors, and visit all the little towns and landscapes I haven't had the chance to see on other trips.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I was recommended the app as a way to meet really interesting people, and travel in a different way than just staying in hostels.
Interests
I'm outdoorsy and love 'extreme sports' - I've done lots of white water kayaking around Scotland and Wales, have rock climbed, and am super keen to try mountain biking and to learn to (finally) surf!
I love creative hobbies, and spend a lot of time sewing my own clothes from scratch. I doodle and paint when I can too, and want to learn to paint/print my own fabric.
Mostly, I'm just a big ol bookworm, and usually have a minimum of two books in my bag at any time. I probably read fantasy/other fictional novels more than anything else, but I always welcome a book recommendation or two :-)
I also love to garden/grow my own veg, learn a bit of history and culture about the places I visit, and just generally learning about other people's lives and stories!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
1) Cycled approx. 500 miles across Northern Spain following the Camino de Santiago route
2) Kayaked through the Scottish highlands, in particular on the Glen Etive where part of the James Bond Skyfall movie was filmed
3) Took a 26 hour coach across Europe to Sziget festival in Budapest, Hungary
4) Completed the Mardi Himal trek in Nepal (4500m) and half of the Annapurna Circuit - it snowed so heavily that they wouldn't let us past Chamé, so I plan to go back and complete it one day

What I Can Share with Hosts
I'm pretty easygoing and sociable, but also independent - I'm happy to hang out and explore together, or to go on adventures by, myself if the host is busy or needs privacy/space.
I'm very tidy and clean up after myself, and also make lots of tea for people I'm with!
