ABOUT ME

I'm a 23 year old Australian. I study biology and philosophy and have spent the last 8 months in Europe; first studying in Sweden and then travelling to other countries and doing some wwoofing along the way. I want to see more of the world, of its natural beauty, its people and its cultures. Along the way I hope to contribute to something good, whether it be volunteering on an organic farm or good will organisation, or simply making someone smile. I crave the learning about the world and myself that is involved in travel. I'm also tempted by the chaos and expected spontaneity associated with the act of wandering and lack of routine. Living in this way, the possibilities are amazing!

I'm an environmentalist and future biologist, so my ultimate goal is to someday live a sustainable lifestyle and take action in preserving the natural environment.

Interests

When I'm not studying and the weather's nice I like to be in the garden or the forest either getting my hands dirty or just appreciating the beauty of nature. I love to exercise- preferably swimming, running and yoga. Otherwise, I like to cook and share a meal with friends, and enjoy a live band or a good movie with them

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I saw the northern lights in the north of Sweden, I was utterly amazed that such mysterious beauty was possible. The lights were quite faint in the beginning, but quickly became bright and stretched over the whole sky. They would swirl and expand and playfully reach down to us.

Another experience was trying scuba diving for the first time with my cousin. I was terrified of it in the beginning but it was definitely a situation where courage paid off! Breathing under water and seeing the world that is under the sea was exhilarating.
