Born and raised in Miami, but have been living in Colorado for the last 5 years - three years in Boulder and two in Denver. I'm currently in the process of leaving the 9 to 5 life to be a full time basketball coach because that is what I'm truly passionate about. But first I'm taking a little trip to South America for a few months :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm a newbie, be gentle! I'm driving from Colorado back to Florida with my dog because my mom is watching her while I'm in South America. I've always been intrigued by the Couchsurfing community, so I thought this roadtrip would be a great opportunity to see what it's all about!

Interests

I love sports and being active which is why Colorado was such a natural fit for me. Hiking, biking, skiing, basketball, football - anything outside really. I'm obsessed with experiencing different cultures and people. Huge into music, but it looks like I have a special section for that below. I enjoy cooking, although I'm really not that great at it. It's just a fun creative outlet. I also love to sit and talk, enjoy a beer or tea or whatever together. Enjoying someone's company is a lost art.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Pretty big part of my life, and I am fortunate to have seen my fair share of live music! From huge Phish shows in arenas to a couple playing in front of 8 people drinking beer in a cafe in Nicaragua. Each are special in their own ways.

I love jam bands, bluegrass, funk, soul, jazz, afrobeat.... I'm open to listen to anything you want to show me

Movies: I rarely ever go to the movies, but sometimes hanging out and watching a good one is just what the doctor ordered. I love mob movies, anything that makes you think, all kinds of stuff

Books: I'm probably supposed to have something edgy or cool here, but I just finished reading the Harry Potter series. Which is pretty fantastic if you ask me. I mostly read by suggestion, so I've read all kinds of different genres. I've been on a classics binge recently - Catcher and the Rye, East of Eden, To Kill a Mockingbird

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Man. That's a tough one. Motorbiking off road in Ometepe, Nicaragua to comes mind (and I had never been on a motorcycle before). Hunting for the best street food in Oaxaca, Mexico. Hiking active volcanos in Guatemala (lava is hot). Great American Beer Festival in Denver. Looking forward to more.
