My mission is to learn about the foods of the world. Each culture shares itself through food, and I want to discover them!

ABOUT ME

I am an easy going person who enjoys meeting new people. I love visiting new cities and discovering what makes it tick. I tend to wander through the streets until I find a good bakery.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have couchsurfed in both Paris and Lyon. My family has also hosted people from long term international exchange programs.

兴趣

I am constantly finding new things that grab my interest. As a youth I was most drawn to theater and the circus. I was in numerous theater productions throughout the years. I was also in a youth circus for 5 years. I carry these interests with me to this day. Now however, I love to be active and play Ultimate Frisbee on my college team. I also love food in every way possible. I love to garden, cook, and eat food whenever possible.

I am studying Geography and food systems. My interest is at the intersection of food and cities. How they influence rural patterns but also how they feed themselves.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Minneapolis thunderstorms that appear suddenly always leave me awestruck. I can spend hours sitting on a porch watching the storms roll by.
Growing my own food is one of the most miraculous events I have the pleasure of witnessing often. Showing kids how to grow food and seeing them inspired is always a joy.
After hiking to a lake at the top of an ancient volcano is Guatemala, watching the clouds roll over to tip of the mountain and cover the lake in mist.
