About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Everyday, do something that scares you.

ABOUT ME

I'm an International Relations major just beginning to explore the world, and I can't wait to see more of it. I'm currently spending a semester abroad at a college in England, studying political science and economics (the joy!). I have an outrageous number of travel plans this summer, and will hopefully be abroad again next spring to study Arabic and MENA politics.I'm quite friendly and I love to meet new people, though sometimes I worry that I come off as being a bit shy. I love my friends and my family and absolutely adore spending time with them, but I'm also someone who enjoys solitude from time to time. Solo travel is one of my favorite things, or picking up with various people as I travel.

PHILOSOPHY

Shamelessly stolen from one of the oldest stories in the world, the Epic of Gilgamesh: "Let my eyes see the sun until they are dazzled with looking." Here to see what I can see, do what I can do, find myself, and be utterly dazzled.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Florence + the Machine, Marina and the Diamonds, Regina Spektor, Frank Sinatra, Mumford & SonsBooks: Nearly anything. My parents raised me to be a voracious but hardly discriminating reader. It's a weakness of mine.Movies: Anything from classics like Casablanca to my guilty pleasure, superhero movies.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My father and I once got up at four in the morning from our camp, hiked two miles, and watched the sun rise over the Appalachian Mountains. There's nothing like it in the world.

Teach, Learn, Share

Did you know that the best way to make snickerdoodle cookies fluffy is to refridgerate the dough before baking?I'm a pretty fantastic baker, and I'm always looking to improve. I also love to learn anything there is to know about other languages.

Countries I’ve Visited
