COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I'm a total newbie. Haven't hosted anyone yet (hopefully soon) and haven't found anyone yet to host me (hopefully even sooner).

Interests

history (after all, that's what I'm studying); I love to cook, especially Asian and Italian food. Bavarian as well, but no Wiener Schnitzel because that is - as the name says - not Bavarian but from Vienna.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love Kurt Vonnegut, he makes me laugh and (almost) cry at the same time. "Slaughterhouse Five" and "Cat's Cradle" are among my favorites.
There's tons of good movies I missed this year because I've been studying so hard. Among those that I have seen, "Lars and the Real Girl" and "There Will be Blood" impressed me most. There is also this very creepy Swedish movie that I watched at the Seattle International Film Festival: "Let the Right One In". If you ever come across it, watch it!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Just yesterday I watched the sunrise up on Mount Haleakala on Maui. Then we took a 5 hour hike into the volcano crater. It felt like I was walking on the moon!
