About Me
Hello there!
My name is Eloise and I'm 29. from the UK. I've travelled heaps over the last few years in Canada, the US, New Zealand, Asia, and Australia. After living in New Zealand, I've become a keen hiker and I love being in nature. I spent last summer hiking the Mont Blanc Trail and gardening in the South of France.
I love finding new music, I love to cook, I love to eat and I'm kind of a movie nerd. I like yoga and riding bikes and I've just joined a Roller Derby Team.
I share a house with 2 close friends, and I'll always need to check with them before agreeing to your stay, just an FYI. We live really close to good transport links between Gloucester, Cheltenham and Stroud. And, as standard if we're out and about, then so are you.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Well despite heaps of travelling I've never actually couch surfed before. I have friends in New Zealand who hosted all the time and we always met lovely people. Previously I've volunteered with HelpX or Work Away as a means of travelling and meeting people. I'll be in Oslo for 1 day/night and it seems like the ideal opportunity to give CouchSurfing a go! All I need is a floor for the night, but I'm hoping I can find a super kind and generous person who could give me some of their time to show me what they think to be the highlights of the city.
I will happily cook for you, share wine and music in exchange for your hospitality.

Music, Movies, and Books
Favourite book by far is Shantaram by Gregory David Roberts. But I also loved Monsoon by Wilbuir Smith, 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea by Jules Verne, and Cider with Rosie by Laurie Lee - this last one is very special to me as I grew up in the town that the novelist writes about.
My siblings and I love film, so choosing a favourite is a toughie. My current desert island films are Forrest Gump, Up, Interstellar, Zootopia, aaaaand The Big Lebowski.
Music wise, I'm currently listening to Anderson .Paak, Sylvan Esso, Alt J and Radiohead. I also sing a little Blues and Soul.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I did the Mont Blanc Trail on my own last summer as a camper. Those first 3 days were quite a shock to the system, and I would highly recommend it to any keen hikers. I met some really wonderful humans on the trail.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm a keen amateur gardener and I've been involved in a bunch of permaculture projects in Australia, Canada, Scotland and France - so if you have green fingers I'm keen to share ideas with you.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Music - I have heaps.
Food - I love to cook for people and especially excited to learn new foods.
Travel Stories - Always a great conversation topic!
