Hi, I'm Eloise. Since I graduated from a degree in English Literature and Philosophy I taught English and Philosophy in China for a few years whilst using it as a base to travel Asia. I love learning languages as they facilitate travel and exchange with people from all walks of life which in turn broadens our perspective.

Now I'm living in Taiwan having just finished a language course and I’m very excited to be embarking on a Master's degree in Austronesian Studies that is all about researching, connecting with and empowering the Indigenous community.

I'm very active - I love hiking, swimming and running. You'll probably either find me surrounded by nature
or relaxing in a coffee shop with a good book.

I live by the philosophy that good food and good company are two of life's greatest pleasures. So, with this in mind I try not to forget to appreciate the simple things!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I need somewhere to stay in Hong Kong while I make my Taiwanese visa. I will be in Hong Kong from 29th November until 5th December. If anyone can help with this it would be very very much appreciated! Other than that I'm also very happy to just meet up and hang out. I did my year abroad in Hong Kong a few years ago so really looking forward to visiting all my old favourite spots, would be great to have some company!
