I am living in Portugal since May 2015, and I love it! Very friendly people, amazing weather, great landscapes, good food (but not as food as French food, of course ;) ), good wine, very rich culture and a lot to discover!!
I grew up in France, went out of my parents' home after high school (18yo) to study in a different city. I moved a lot since then, living in Bordeaux, Paris, London, Bangkok and now Lisbon.
I traveled a lot when I was in Asia, discovering backpacking alone and the sense of liberty, meeting people non-stop.
I always loved adventure, especially camping, trekking and firewood. I was a girl scout for years, it explains a bit - every cliché that you have about it, I promise, it's much better! :) I also took care of boy scouts for a few years, meaning trying to have a bit of authority on 14yo boys to make them go to bed before 3am, while inventing fun outdoor games and activities for them, and teaching them something about group life / growing up / building a project etc. Not an easy job :)
Oh, I have a new hobbie: I am staring in ceramics and I love it!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I would LOVE to host but I am sharing my flat with 5 more people, not all very keen on having "strangers" in their home... so it will stay for the day I will have my own apartment.
Meanwhile, I really want to start couchsurfing to meet new people, discover places in a different way, bring and receive something (cultural, not material of course!!)... it's been years that I heard about it, and this year I will make the opportunity to experience it :)
