ABOUT ME

My name is Elena, I'm 22 years old, and I study law in Madrid, I was born in Santander (North of Spain), and i've been living there my whole life... until i was 17, I started University so i moved to Madrid.
my three first years i lived in a residence with other students (girls and boys), last year i was studying in Paris with an intership, and now I live in an appartment with my two best friends (Cristina studies Medicine and Claire is studying "English Studies"). the three of us are nuts... we are very open-minded, and that's why we have decided to show you our little world if you want,(how we live in Madrid, the places we like,etc), we would like to share experiences with other people from different countries, we love travelling, we love MUSIC, reading, going to the cinema, the three of us play the guitar, and (that's only my case) i LOVE dancing, ballet, salsa, contemporary dance, hip hop... etc).

PHILOSOPHY

i prefer not to talk about that here in a small sqare, i think i'm more complicated than this, so i can't express in a few lines how i feel about my life, or what my thoughts are, or what do i expect from life..
there are few people with whom i can talk about this, so i think i prefer to save this information, and maybe share it in another occasion...

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

As I said before, we are young, we are social people, i am really really interested in other cultures.
my parents have been living in different parts of the world because of their work (in Canada, USA, Marroch, etc) so perhaps that's why i want to know all about different cultures, different kind of people, i love talking... in fact sometimes i talk too much, i can have a conversation even with a chair, or with a cat.. lol, so to sume up, we are looking forward to sharing the "couch surfing" experience :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

amazing, i was in belgium (Brussels and Gantt) with a friend a month ago.. i can only say people were very kind to us, :) and so were we to them, i hope we will repeat soon and i hope there will be people coming to visit us in Madrid

my hobbies are
reading (i can read anything, i love reading about history, philosophy, politics, but i always enjoy classics and msterpieces of Literature) :)
cinema (my favourite film is Death in Venice)

listening to music (rock, indie, electro, new wave, brit pop,jazz ...) my favourite artist is bob dylan, i also love joy division, janis joplin, the smiths,etc

i love reading, i really love reading, but i have too many preferences about books, cinema and music, i could make a huge list of them..
but anyway, just to say something... indie, rock, glam-rock, electronical-indie music,etc etc

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

it's difficult to say, i have lot of experiences in my life, but recently, perhaps i can say that last year i had the most wonderful days in Paris with my friends, and, precisely, a trip we organised around Vienne, Prague, Bratislava... 7 days laughing, enjoying ourselves, meeting other people, i specially keep a good memory of that trip...
i know it's not an amazing thing... but it was one of my biggest experiences

Teach, Learn, Share

i love everything, i think is always good to learn from different people, and from different things.
for example, i enjoy drawing, or playing the guitar and singing, we have also have a piano, so it's always nice to listen to someone playing the same instrument as you, and learn other songs, other style of music.
i love art, my father paints in his freetime and i love it too, so i love learning things related with art, artistic movements from different countries or citys that i don't know, art it's one of the most important things for me because is the way of defining each person, is the way you have to express how you feel, or how a group of people with the same interests in a precise time of history created an artistic movement, relecting the society of the moment. (i'm talking about Science, about Literature, Sculpture, Architecture, etc)
