About Me
IMPORTANT!
I will automatically reject any request that shows no sign of having read my profile.
I have nothing against message templates, but you should at least modify it enough to let me know it's not the same generic copy-paste any host in the area will read from you.
NOW LET'S CONTINUE WITH MY PROFILE
I used to have a bigger description on this section when I was younger. I'll try to keep it simple this time.
I enjoy reading, studying, watching sports and listening to music. I'm also a runner-in-progress and a very bad soccer player. (50/50 indoor/outdoor)
My wife, Fran, is a lovely Chilean tourist guide who enjoys being outside and explore the city and its surroundings while taking a lot of cameras with her.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
To be honest, I created this account like 10+ years ago to save some money while travelling. The experience was so good and mind-opening, though, that I decided to give it a go to the hosting side.
I like to receive people at my home and help them save money, have a nice stay and know not so touristic places.
We are cat-lovers and at the time I of this update we don't have one, but we may already have when you are reading this. We'll try to upload a picture of it when it comes home. But, if you're allergic, be aware!

Music, Movies, and Books
Long time fantasy lover. Current favorite author is Brandon Sanderson (I'm not at all religious, though).
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Moving to Japan and getting a nice job-friends-life balance.
Fran says that one amazing thing she's done is learning this country's defying language! (And I'm proud of her, but don't tell her).
Teach, Learn, Share
I think that everyone has something to teach everybody else. And I like to learn what other people have to teach me, no matter if it is philosofy, cooking, history, or just how to solve a Rubik cube.
I can teach how to cook an "asado" (Argentinian BBQ), drink "mate" or prepare "dulce de leche".
I can teach people about some basic technicall skills necessary to make some household repairing works.
But if you want to learn about photography, drawing and arts, Fran is your person to talk to.
What I Can Share with Hosts
It really DEPENDS. It depends on what you are looking for and what I am able to offer you when you come to visit.
It could go from simple hosting to having nice conversations, giving you advice on travelling through Japan, teaching you some basic japanese for your trip or even going out together to showyou some of the city.
