About Me

Live the dream

Alike to almost everyone on this site, I Love to travel! For the past 4yrs I have worked for the purpose to travel. Before I started getting serious about travelling I was very much career focused, but have always had the sense of adventure and the desire to explore/wander, or walk just that little bit further to see what was around the corner and detour away from the regular paths/roads. (I think most surfers have this trait to some extent - "the search")

I love the concept of this website and heard about it from other people during my travels several years ago.
I like being active and outdoors.

In January 2011 I left Australia to embark on my biggest trip to date - a 12month journey through South America, Central America, and Europe. It was an incredible life experience, filled with many great memories and the people of couchsurfing played a huge part in it. And now, I am convinced that there is a hell of a lot more to life then just running the rat race of the conventional western world society.

Now 2014 - I am on the road again and look forward to many more wonderful couchsurfing and travelling experiences in South and Central America.

1. Live to enjoy!

What goes around comes around,
and treat others with the respect that you expect to receive.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Joined the site to help fellow travellers out and to hopefully show off my beautiful part of the world. I know the favour will hopefully be returned when I am visiting another part of the globe.

All positive & unique experiences with plenty of stories and laughs. Both hosting and surfing.

Team sports, wakeboarding, surfing, snowboarding, skydiving, rock climbing, seeing new things, anything that offers some adventure, trying to learn salsa dance and spanish, parties & music.

Music, Movies, and Books

My music taste is broad and varied from rock beats of Metallica to Reggae beats of Bob Marley. Though Red Hot Chilli Pepper would have to be one of my long favourites.

I never have much free time for books so anything I ever read is generally non-fictional to learn more about something.

Books: The Alchemist, Marching Powder, Unlocked, Shantaram, Lost in the Jungle, Solitude- Seeking Wisdoms in Extremes.

TV shows: Two and half men, Underbelly, Third rock from sun, any cultural & travel documentaries

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Skydiving over my local beach, bungee jumping the Nevis in New Zealand (I think it's the 3rd biggest jump in the world), experiencing Mexico!!, riding the British Columbia & Rocky Mtn powder, seeing the Sapporo Ice Festival in Japan and riding the best powder in Niseko, surfing with some locals in Fiji near Saggatoka.

Teach, Learn, Share

I want to learn more Spanish. I can help people learn/better their English. I can show off my part of the world and help people to make the most of their time in my particular area. I want to hear about other great places to visit. I want to leave people with a positive impression and them to do the same to me.

Countries I’ve Visited

Argentina, Austria, Bolivia, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Fiji, France, Germany, Japan, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Nicaragua, Panama, Peru, Singapore, Spain, Taiwan, Thailand
