Learn to be a DOCTOR!
When you first meet me, you might say I'm polite, punny, and inquisitive. I love to laugh, make jokes, and talk about lots of different things :)
I studied music at Boston College, and I am now studying medicine at the University of Miami. Last year I spent a year in Germany as a DAAD scholar!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I've couchsurfed in NYC, DC and Quebec. I've also gone to a few couchsurfing gatherings in DC, Boston and Ft. Lauderdale. The people I've met and the experiences I've had through CS have been fun and unforgettable!
Music, piano and guitar, running, biking, nature, yoga, dancing, cooking, languages, learning about other cultures, meeting new people, medically related stuff, and the list goes on...
Music, Movies, and Books
Music: much beyond and in between: Pink Floyd, Dave Matthews, Ingrid Michaelson, Iron & Wine, Lady Gaga, Adele, Polish/Spanish artists...
Books: Hunger Games, Harry Potter, Krimis....
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I went volcano boarding in Leon, Nicaragua. First we climbed to the top of Cerro Negro and enjoyed the beautiful view of black volcanic rock mixed with bright green plant life. Surfing down the side on our wooden boards was complicated... there were only two speeds: not moving at all and practically falling on your face... I chose the latter and did not regret it!
Teach, Learn, Share
Piano and guitar, music theory (be careful, I can talk about it forever), Spanish, Polish, how to say "give me your money" (and "thank you" of course) in Russian..
What I Can Share with Hosts
An open personality, an excitement to try new things, and to talk about "Gott und die Welt" -- pretty much anything! If you like to share your life/travel experiences or your philosophy of the world, I'm a great listener. If you are a great listener, well, I also love to talk :-)
I have a bad sense of direction, but that has greatly improved with my new smartphone. But if you are adventurous, I can turn off the GPS and we can see where in the city we end up! :P
Oh and I can bring along the card game Ligretto, which is pretty much the best and fastest card game ever :)
