ABOUT ME

They would say that I am very open minded and interested in other cultures and views; someone with a good sense of humour :-) They would probably also note that I am someone that is not always taking the easiest path in life.

PHILOSOPHY

I like to discover new aspects of life. Doing what I enjoy is not always possible, but I try to live as much by this purpose as I can.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I would like to use couchsurfing to connect with interesting people. Its more than sharing a place to stay. Showing how things are being approached an done in other cultures and parts of the world only comes through interaction with locals.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

None at all. I just registered recently and right now I am on my first trip, when I might try and use couchsurfing to get people to k ow in Canada.

Interests

Work is an important part of my life. I like mastering difficult tasks. I like doing sports. Swimming and Badminton are my favourites currently. I also practise yoga and meditation, which stands in contrast with focusing on work, but this is something I am currently figuring out as I go along in life. When time allows, I enjoy a ride on my motorbike.

Music, Movies, and Books

Books: War and piece and Anna Karenina are my current favourites. I think Tolstoi to be a bit of a soulmate to me :-)

Movies: currently i enjoy watching Magnum P.I Sunday evenings on TV, probably for nostalgic reasons ;-) otherwise i have seen a lot of movies that I liked, but dont't have list of them :-)

Music: I've just subscribed on one of the internet music rental stores recently and enjoy broadening my view of music. I would include Pop, Rock and classic music within my favourites.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

- Trying to stay on a horse that suddenly started to gallopp, while doing a 'normal' horseride trip in New Zealand. I ended up falling off; the helmet saved my life :-)
- "Surviving" my first 10-day meditation retreat in complete silence :-)

Teach, Learn, Share

I certainly have learnt a lot through my years long of integrating yoga and meditation into my life. I am happy to share my own story on this :-)
