Growing up in the border of Mexico in a city known for it's poverty and large latino community - I knew I needed to be the first to get a college degree and travel the road less traveled by. By the time I was eighteen, I worked hard to become one of the best hurdlers in America and made sports history in my community. My dreams came true! I had the opportunity to attend a 4-yr university on a fully paid scholarship.
Soon after I started my university studies in San Antonio, Texas, I was introduced to Couchsurfing. Because of my demanding athletics and education schedule, I realized I could bring the world to me. I was able to expand my horizon by meeting wonderful people from across the globe. I hosted events at my apartment, hosted many people at once, and traveled with a few couchsurfers on last minute plans all around the country and world.
Since then - I have hosted and re-hosted in Texas, New York City where I lived for four years, and now looking to host many more adventurous couchsurfers passing through London.
I believe couchsurfing is specifically for people who are looking to exchange stores, activities, culture, cooking recipes :P, and/or pure joy! Couchsurfing has changed alot in the last years and I do not wish to host people who are simply looking to come into my home and not say a word. Luckily, I never had that experience!
Also, if you are athletic, love to cook, share stories, author, entrepreneurs, world traveler, want to become friends, or want to become a superhero please send me a message!
I'm currently working on a few projects at home, a book and a business venture that will be launch in NYC in a few months (I hope!) Back in NYC, I was a Division I track and field coach at the University of Pennsylvania and I started an elite youth track & field club team in Manhattan (miss them so much!) I also worked as a nanny for a billionaire... let's just say that didn't go so well! haha
If you want to know more about me you are welcomed to read my CS reviews or meet me!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Skydiving 20,000 feet over Mont Bland hands down the craziest adrenaline ever!
Back in December 2015 I raised some money for the refugees affected by the war in Syria. I flew to turkey and Lesvos to donate the money and volunteer. I ended up in lesvos with no plans and got a volunteering gig as an emergency responder. Basically, I was responsible for the Syrian refugees as they arrived on boat fleeing all sorts of crazy people. I was glad to be part of helping them and cooking for over 500 refugees/daily.
Also, one of the best experiences was going to London during the 2012 games and watching the games. It was inspiring and interesting to meet all these incredible athletes. Oh - RIO Olympics was out of this world too!
