About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To get on with life's next stage! It seems to be a lot more hardwork than I first suspected...

ABOUT ME

I am enthusiastic, nice, very keen to learn new things!

I'm a little adventurous as well, I love taking long walks, and, while I can party, I'd rather talk to someone!

PHILOSOPHY

Work hard, meet people, enjoy the now and plan for tomorrow!

And perhaps hoard all the books. ALL.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Music, Movies, and Books

Oh, gosh I'm so old-fashioned. Three musketeers, One Hundred Years of Solitude, various anthologies of various poets, Harry Potter, anything by Emilio Salgari/Jules Verne/Mario Vargas Llosa/Juan Ramón Jiménez/J. K. Rowling.

I have read plenty of thrillers, and I think I enjoy the A Song of Ice and Fire. I'm not so keen on romance, but perhaps I haven't come across the right book yet?

Music? I'll listen to anything! Specially if it's danceable.

As for films, I love Dr. Zhivago. Guillermo del Toro and Alfonso Cuarón films. John Wayne's Western films! Most things with Katharine Hepburn in, Slumdog Millionaire, District 9, Disney/Pixar/animated Dreamworks/Don Bluth's/Aleksandr Petrov's/Studio Ghibli's films (yeah, I know). There's always Fight Club and the first Saw film. The Manchurian Candidat, The Terminal, Babe (yeah, I know), The Secret of Kells, Aachi and Ssipak, tons of stuff with Aishwarya Rai in.

I think I'm weird.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Egypt's tombs. Everybody says the pyramids, but it's the tombs where it's at. They are so wonderful and varied, like a patchwork of Ancient history!

The Mayan ruins; Tikal is so wonderful and very preserved. Truly awe inspiring. I only wish I could go to Bonampak someday!

Teach, Learn, Share

I have excellent knowledge of my native language. Spanish beginners; feel like asking explanation for befuddling things? I'm your lady!

Countries I’ve Visited

Costa Rica, Egypt, Guatemala

Countries I’ve Lived In

Panama
