Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I’m on Couchsurfing because I hope to learn more about the local culture of places I travel. Meeting new people and seeing their day to day is awesome. i don’t have a permanent home right now where I can host other couchsurfers, but I’m a good listener and happy to be a pleasant force of being to the people I’m around and pay it forward that way. I am looking to be in the give and take flow of travel, being open with an ethos of trust towards others vs skepticism. My best moments are when I am open to life and I want to help in this exchange. One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I camped for 5000 miles and eight national parks with my two nieces and my nieces two year old daughter. Such a summer of memories. Definitely a lesson in how we go further together but faster alone.... as in better to go slow in community than fast by yourself. Lots of time enjoying toddler time rather than eating up hikes, and it was good for my soul to slow down and enjoy people as much as the place.
