About Me

After a few months stuck in a loop, same job, same pace, same air, I started feeling this weird heaviness. Like something was missing but I couldn’t name it. The kind of restlessness that makes you question everything without knowing what you’re even looking for. The world was starting to go back to “normal” after covid, but I didn’t feel normal at all.

One day I stopped ignoring it and just left. I didn’t tell my dad or anyone. I just packed my things and bought a ticket. The moment I landed, walking out into a totally unfamiliar place, completely alone, I felt high on life. It was like everything lit up at once. The air, the people, the chaos, the quiet. That feeling became something I wanted to chase again and again.

I’m excited by almost anything new. New music, new cities, new food, new ideas, new ways of seeing the same old things. That kind of curiosity is what keeps me alive.

Music plays a huge role in all of this. It’s not just background noise to me. It’s this language that’s always spoken to me even when I didn’t have the words. Music has walked with me through so many parts of life, and I feel it so deeply it’s almost like an extension of who I am.

I don’t believe in sticking to one genre either. That would just be boring. I like anything that makes me feel something — joy, sadness, calm, fire. Even silence sometimes.

There was a period that lasted about seven months where I couldn’t feel a thing. And I mean nothing. I’d put on songs that used to make me cry or dance and they just sounded like static. That was probably one of the most heartbreaking things I’ve ever gone through.

But when I finally started feeling again, everything hit deeper. I came back to music with a whole new hunger. I started loving even more genres. Finding little pieces of myself in sounds I’d never paid attention to before.

Now I’m into anything from the traditional, like Oud and Persian Santoor, to house, techno, psychedelic rock, reggae, psytrance. Tool, Soundgarden, Nirvana, Kino, Kourosh Yaghmaei, Polo & Pan, Grand Soleil, Astral Projection, Goasia, Hallucinogen, Mo’Kalamity, Alex Serra, Isaac Chambers, Dub Princess, Glass Beams, Mac DeMarco, Strawberry Guy, Pink Floyd, Love — especially Forever Changes. That album just hits different.
And if we meet, I’d love to share more. There’s something really intimate about showing someone the music that shaped you. That’s the kind of exchange I live for.

Whenever I meet someone, I always have this quiet awareness in the back of my mind. That our time here is short. That we’re just two humans on this floating rock, for a little while. And that awareness makes me hold the moment with care. Even the small ones. Maybe especially those.

I think I’m pretty chill overall. Calm, kind, laid-back. But I’ve also got this restless energy that needs to move. I love being outside, walking, cycling, hiking, just feeling the air and the city or nature around me. I don’t really enjoy partying, unless it’s something meaningful like a good concert or a festival once in a while.

I try to treat everyone with respect. I believe in kindness, but I also believe in boundaries. There’s this Persian saying that goes something like “don’t be fooled by how small the chili looks, taste it and you’ll see how strong it is.” That’s me, I guess.

What matters to me most is honesty and authenticity. If we have that, we can figure everything else out. And if something’s off, if you need space, or if I do something that doesn’t sit right with you, just tell me. I’ll never take it the wrong way. I’d rather know than guess.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I once hiked through the Patagonian wilderness for several days, completely off the grid, surrounded by nothing but landscapes and pure nature. It was one of the most exhilarating and grounding experiences of my life.
