关于我
Hey there! 😊
I'm Emanuel, originally from the north of Portugal, and I’m currently living and working in Beijing, China.
I work as a sports physiotherapist, mostly with athletes — movement, performance, and rehab are my daily bread. I grew up practicing Judo, competing for many years, and that passion naturally led me into the world of sports health and human movement.
Outside of work, I enjoy simple but meaningful things: being in nature, bouldering, strength training, playing chess, and staying active in any way I can. I value good conversations, shared meals, and learning from different cultures and perspectives.
我为什么加入 Couchsurfing
Because the best part of traveling is meeting people.
In 2024, I spent a full month traveling solo across Europe with an Interrail pass. It became one of the most enriching experiences of my life, largely thanks to Couchsurfing. I was welcomed into homes, shared food, stories, laughs, and quiet moments with incredible people. Those experiences shaped the way I see travel and connection.
Now that I’m settled in Beijing, it’s my turn to give back.
I’m happy to host travelers, share local tips, exchange cultures, and offer a friendly, relaxed place to stay. I truly believe Couchsurfing is about genuine connection, respect, and curiosity — and that’s exactly what I aim to offer as a host.
IMPORTANT
I don’t feel comfortable sharing a bed, so please don’t send requests expecting that.
Let’s keep Couchsurfing what it was meant to be: a space for real cultural exchange, mutual respect, and meaningful human connection.
Whether you’re passing through Beijing, curious about life here, or just up for a walk, a meal, or a good conversation — feel free to reach out 😊
