About Me
I'm an English teacher in South Korea who studied geography in university, and I would say that I'm pretty passionate about learning as much as I can about other countries!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I believe staying with a local and have the fortunate opportunity to let them immerse you in their culture is the best way to travel! I will soon go on my first long-term backpacking and I am very excited about getting the change to experience a place through the knowledge of a kind-hearted local who is gracious enough to host me~ I plan on relying mostly on Couchsurfing and Workaway to get around from China to Europe. I have stayed at hostels before and I don't feel like I was really able to connect with much people as I would have liked to.
Music, Movies, and Books
Interested in all international and futurist music, movies, and books.
I've recently read Silence by Shusaku Endo, The Accusation by Bandi, The Vegetarian by Han Kang, Eating Smoke by Chris Thrall, Fox Girl by Nora Okja Keller, 1984 by George Orwell, Neuromancer by William Gibson, The Tao Te Ching....if I finish a book it's because I really liked it lol.
I'm open to all forms of music that aren't pop, love watching foreign films
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Bike along the DMZ while listening to both Koreas broadcast their propaganda at each other on giant speakers
Teach, Learn, Share
I would love to teach English or Spanish in exchange for your language! Learn about the coolest places in your area, maybe some cooking, take awesome photos, learn anything unique and special about your culture :)
If you need help with anything, I will lend a hand ^-^
