About Me

PLEASE READ BEFORE SENDING A REQUEST:
I live in a place outside Rome, about 25 minutes by train. However, there's no public transportation from the station to my home, which means I have to pick you up by car, and the same applies to trips into Rome. In short, your movement will depend on my ability to provide rides. Please take this into careful consideration before sending a request. With my daily work and private life commitments, I can't always take on the responsibility of these trips, this is sometimes the reason I might have to decline a request.

Hello,
I'm Emanuele, originally from Rome, or to be more precise, from a small town nearby. It's a place where you can taste some of the best wine and food in Italy. For the last seven years of my life, I've been traveling a while, a journey that started shortly after I decided to quit my job of ten years at a big American multinational company.
I'm someone who doesn't like to stand still. I'm always open to new opportunities and believe my best skill is problem-solving, which pretty much applies to every aspect of life. Professionally, I'm a web designer, building WordPress sites and managing advertising campaigns, mainly on Meta (Facebook).
Among my many passions and hobbies, sports hold a special place. I consider myself an all-around sportsman. I spent my adolescence playing volleyball. Later, I rediscovered my childhood love for tennis, and now it's a regular part of my routine. More recently, in 2022, I even became a certified jump rope (or ropeskipping) instructor. I really enjoy it because it’s incredibly versatile: all you need is a rope, and you can train effectively almost anywhere, constantly pushing yourself to learn new tricks. It’s definitely a challenging yet highly rewarding activity.
Recently, I've also started salsa and bachata dancing. I actually started learning in Australia as a way to meet new people and immerse myself in the local scene, and I've continued it back here in Italy. Between the two, I definitely prefer bachata!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
It's hard to pick just one, because what seems ordinary to me might be amazing to someone else. Instead of trying to define it, here are a few things that come to mind:
- I volunteered for three weeks at a school in a Maasai camp in Kenya. That was a really impactful experience.
- I jumped from a 15-meter waterfall in Indonesia.
- I cycled 600 kilometers from Berlin to Copenhagen.
- I did the Ha Giang Loop in Northern Vietnam, which was an unforgettable ride where I almost died on the December 31st!
These are just bits and pieces though. We can talk more about them, or other adventures, when we meet.
Teach, Learn, Share
I love sharing my experiences and world with others. I'm definitely a good listener, and cooking is one of my passions. For me, sharing a meal is a fantastic way to share a culture. I can even teach you how to make a truly excellent, authentic Italian tiramisù.
Given my journey, from leaving my corporate job to traveling extensively, i can share insights from my adventures, my work as a web designer and digital marketer, and my personal perspective on the world.
Also, if you're into sports or just curious, I'd be happy to teach you the basics of jump rope or show you some advanced tricks, whether you're a beginner or already know how to skip!

Ultimately, I'm always happy to share good conversation, my passion for culture and travel, and contribute positively to any shared experience :)
