Overview
About Me
I'm originally from Hungary but have been living in London, UK for four years. I have a degree in Biological Sciences and I'm currently a postgraduate student, reading Science, Technology and Society. After finishing my master's, I'd like to do a PhD, or, if that doesn't work out, I can see myself working in science communication or in a science policy-related role.
I'm currently unable to host guests, since I'm sharing a tiny flat with two other people and we hardly have enough space for ourselves. However, I'm planning to move within the next few months, so this situation is likely to change soon, and I hope to be able to host people and show them around in this amazing city which I now proudly call my home.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
As you can see below, I've visited quite a few countries and I've gained my most memorable experiences while exploring new lands. I used to travel with my family when I was younger, and recently with friends and sometimes also alone. I'm on here because, during my future travels, I'd like to get the chance to meet locals and see their countries through their eyes, in order to really get to know new places. I like active, cultural holidays with a focus on art galleries and museums. I especially enjoy learning about the history of all countries I visit.
Interests
I've been writing short stories, poems, and lyrics since an early age and I'm working on a novel at the moment. I take writing seriously and I consider myself a creative person.
I love sports and exercising, having done swimming, synchronized swimming, tennis, volleyball, basketball, horse-riding, cricket and athletics. I also practice yoga and meditation, and I'm fascinated by Eastern philosophy.

Music, Movies, and Books
I'm a huge fan of 60s and 70s rock, and I also love jazz, blues, country and classical music. I'm really passionate about expressionist and surrealist art, and early 20th century cinema. Directors like Murnau, Bunuel, Fellini, Bergman, Lynch and Trier strike a chord with me. My favourite era in literature is the late 19th and early 20th century. I also read a lot of philosophy, biographies and historical books for inspiration for my writing.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I finished a novel last year (I felt pretty amazing at the time).
Teach, Learn, Share
Claiming that I can teach anything to anyone at the age of 23 would sound quite self-aggrandizing. However, I love having interesting discussions about things I've seen, watched, read and listened to. I'm happy to learn about and from other people's lives and experiences.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share the experiences I've gained while spending time in different cultures. I love deep and inspiring conversations about the world and all it has to offer.
