I'm currently in medical school, which is awesome but unfortunately means I can't travel as much as I'd like… The fun part is that I've picked up my life and moved to Sweden for school, and am (still) learning the language and navigating the culture every day.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've surfed couches all over Europe and the US, alone and with family. I've always tried to be a kind, respectful, and fun surfer. I also hosted CSers back when I had a larger place!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I surfed Italy alone for a week; surfed Norway, Sweden, and Finland with my mom one summer; also surfed Germany and returned to Italy alone that summer; I've also surfed in Hawaii and Ecuador with my family. I've had a great time getting to know my hosts and their cities!

Interests

I'm really into rock climbing, dance, and aerial arts (think circus), but I've also started focusing on backpacking and cross-country skiing as cheaper alternatives now that I live in pricey Scandinavia (and no, they aren't that much cheaper *sobs*)

Music, Movies, and Books

There is some great music out there - I tend to go for instrumental and indie, plus anything danceable.

books: L'Écume des jours, Is-slottet, anything by Michael Chabon or Jeffrey Eugenides

movies: Amélie, Tillsammans, Festen, Match Point, classics like 12 Angry Men and Chinatown

TV: Arrested Development, Treme, Community, Dexter, Parks and Rec, The Walking Dead

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

switched to vegetarianism, which is pretty impressive if you know how much I loved steak and bacon growing up :)

Teach, Learn, Share

Depending on what I find around me (sign posts etc) I can teach basic aerial - usually pole or trapeze :) If you surf with me I can take you rock climbing!

I always want to learn more languages.

Sharing is the best part of human connection, and I try to remember that.
