About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Engage in my love of teaching, climbing, and singing

I only host weirdos. Tell me how weird you are.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I believe in trust and paying it forward.
I want to meet people with overlapping interests and share perspectives.
I believe everyone has something to teach someone else.

Interests

I am obsessed with tea.
I love to travel, especially by bicycle and train because you get to see so much more.
I love reading most of all: classical literature, poetry, non-fiction, graphic novels, science fiction, philosophy etc.
When not reading I like to watch international and arthouse cinema

Music, Movies, and Books

Currently listening to a lot of indie, math rock, noise rock, post-hardcore.
and singer-songwriters. Some of my all-time favourites are mewithyou, Townes van Zandt, The Dodos, Godspeed You! Black Emperor, Russian Circles, Elliott Smith, Boris, yndi halda, The Tallest Man on Earth.

Some of my favourite directors are the Coen Brothers, Wes Anderson, Todd Solondz, Werner Herzog, Pedro Almodóvar, Sophia Coppola, Nicholas Winding Refn, Takeshi Kitano, Alex van Warmerdam and Jim Jarmusch.

The best thing I've ever read is The Brothers Karamazov. For graphic novels anything by Brian K Vaughn.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I completed a solo cycling trip from the Netherlands to Norway and then (after a month of WWOOFing) to Berlin.

Teach, Learn, Share

I collect and distribute puns like they're going extinct.
Always happy to learn more languages or help others.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I have been known (especially when drunk) to share too much about the life of young Friedrich Nietzsche

Countries I’ve Visited

Australia, Belgium, Cuba, Denmark, Gabon, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Kazakhstan, Malaysia, New Zealand, Norway, Oman, Portugal, Scotland, Singapore, Sweden, Switzerland, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, United States, Wales

Countries I’ve Lived In

Brunei Darussalam, Netherlands, United Kingdom, Venezuela
