CURRENT MISSION
Traveling, discovering, enjoying.
ABOUT ME
Well.. What can I say..
I'm Emilio. Born and raised in a quite small city in a pretty small island in Italy. Take a map of Italy. Check on the left, there are two islands. The one up is Corse (France), the one down, bigger, is Sardinia, where I was born.
Lots of people are confused between the two Italian islands, Sardinia (or Sardegna) and Sicily. We stay on the left, they stay on the right. Sicily is a bit bigger and there are a lot more people than here!
I also spent six months living in Denver, Colorado. A city with crazy weather and crazy people (crazy means very cool). In my life I had the chance to travel a lot and to visit other places and to meet lots of people coming from everywhere. I'm still waiting to have a big culture shock.
I lived in Warsaw for 8 and half years, now Im back in Cagliari and next who knows.. :)
PHILOSOPHY
Never stop discovering!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I sometimes can host people at my place. But I do host only when I know I have time to share with my guests.
I help people who need information about my city.
Just write me, I will do all my best to answer!
In every city I visit I try to meet locals.
They know the city a lot better than the guide-books (or usually it does seem like this)
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Pretty cool so far. Hosted many great folks at my place and met lots of others in my city and while traveling. Couchsurfing is an incredible opportunity to discover new places, new people and new cultures..
But it's like this when it is used in a proper way.
(If you ask me to be hosted, it is good to show up. It happened a couple of times that people asked to be hosted, I accepted, I changed my plans and then they didn't show up. It's not nice)
(If people accept to host I think they have to try to be the nicer they can)
(Considering Couchsurfing as a dating site is quite pathetic. If you think so it means you didn't get anything about this project)
(couchsurfing is not a way to get a free hostel. It works out only if you try to interact with the people who are hosting you)

In Tallinn I saw the Baltic sea totally iced.. One of the whitest and most silent scenario you can find..
In Madrid once there were more than 50° C. under the sun..
I made it to get lost without a map in Brussels, in New York City, Seattle and many other places..
