CURRENT MISSION

At the beginning of June of 2023, I quit my ten-year job to travel and dedicate a little more to myself! After so many years of hosting travelers in Inuvik, NT, Canada (2011-2013), and back home in Uruguay (2013-2023). I started to travel Myself because every traveler I had met in My life Made me realize that I wanted to explore more and enjoy My life before it was too late so I went to Argentina a couple of times during June and July 2023 and then in August I came to Canada but fell in love with Revelstoke, BC.
In November, I obtained the work and holiday visa to go to New Zealand, so I was living in the South Island in the city of Timaru from January to April, spending time with my sisters who live on the South Island in New Zealand.
Since I quit My job i felt so lucky, happy and freedom. I found it's been healing to be traveling by myself.

Renuncié a mi trabajo a principio de junio de 2023 después de estar alli 10 años para viajar y dedicarme tiempo para mi misma. Después de tantos años siendo anfitriona en Inuvik, NT, Canada (2011-2013) y en mi pais en Uruguay (2013-2023). Empecé a viajar ya que cada viajero que conocí me dio ganas de salir a aventurarme y disfrutar de mi vida antes de que sea muy tarde, entonces me fui a recorrer Argentina varias veces durante junio y julio 2023 y en agosto me vine a Canada y me enamore de una pequeña ciudad que se llama Revelstoke BC.
En noviembre conseguí la work and holiday para ir a Nueva Zelanda así que estuve de enero hasta abril viviendo en la isla sur en la ciudad de Timaru y compartir tiempo con mis hermanas que viven en la isla sur en Nueva Zelanda.
Desde que renuncié a mi trabajo me he sentido con suerte, feliz y libre. E descubierto que ha sido muy sanador viajar sola.

ABOUT ME

Hi, I'm Emilia, I'm Uruguayan but I lived almost 2 years in Inuvik, Northwest Territories in Canada, from May 2011 to March 2013. Where I had the best experience of my life, where I learned to speak English. I volunteered at the school where I learned a lot about the local people and met many tourists from all over. I love to travel, go out, meet people, have fun, and do outdoor activities. I have met very wonderful people in Couchsurfing.
Hola soy Emilia, soy Uruguaya pero vivi casi 2 anos en Inuvik, Territorios del Noroeste en Canada, desde mayo 2011 a marzo de 2013. Donde tuve la mejor experiencia de toda mi vida, donde aprendi hablar el idioma ingles, fui voluntaria en la escuela de la ciudad donde aprendi muchisimo sobre la gente del pueblo y conoci muchos viajeros de todas partes. Me encanta viajar, salir, conocer gente, divertirme y actividades al aire libre. He conocido gente muy maravillosa en couchsurfing.

PHILOSOPHY

I love to be surrounded by the people I love, like my family and friends, and get to know more people. I like enjoy everyday like if tomorrow will be the last day. Me encanta estar rodeada de la gente que quiero como mis amigos, mi familia y conocer gente nueva! Disfruto el día a día cómo si fuera el último.

The best thing i never done was to come to Canada to see other culture, other way to live.

Lo mejor que hice fue ir a vivir a Canadá dónde pude aprender otra cultura, y me ayudó mucho a crecer día a día a lo que soy yo!

Puedo intentar cocinar algo rico, no soy la mejor cocinando pero me defiendo. Ayudar en lo que sea necesario en el hogar para mantener el orden y la limpieza. Y estar dispuesta a salir a conocer el lugar.
