ABOUT ME

Hello! My name is Emilia Melody. In a nutshell, I guess I'm a mix of childish and thoughtful, shy but with an endless love for life. I enjoy laughing and being silly as well as reflecting on things, both mentally and physically.

I'm sort of like this...person, you know?

I can be a little reserved with people I've just met, but even if I do seem shy its probably just because I find you interesting, and would like to get to know you better. I'd like to think I'm open-minded and spiritually aware, but who knows how much I really am. I like to goof around and be free to be who I am, and hope to make everyone I meet comfortable enough to do so as well. Just know no matter how quiet or reserved I might be with you, I'm not judging you and I'm probably really enjoying being with you.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

So far, so good! I'm still fairly new to the whole thing, but the last couple of months have been great!! Met a lot of great people and stayed in some really nice homes. Can't wait to host people myself!

I'm a bit of a foodie (and am always down to try new foods!), I like being in nature all the time, love love animals, and especially I looove pet rats. I want to make meaningful connections with people. Really, I like learning about what you like! What are you passionate about?

I enjoy all sorts of music, mostly the non-contemporary stuff, I suppose. Some of my favorite artists currently include Röyksopp, Lykke Li, Kings of Convenience, Club 8, the composer Howard Blake, Jorge Ben, Caetano Veloso, Os Mutantes, Gal Costa (and a lot of other Brazilian musicians).

Moviewise, I like Ratatouille, What Dreams May Come, Sunshine (by Danny Boyle),and pretty much any fantasy movie I guess.

Books: Bridge Across Forever by Richard Bach, The Left hand of Darkness by Ursula K. Le Guin, Harry Potter series (good bedtime reading!), His Dark Materials by Philip Pullman... and others probably that I can't remember at the moment.

One thing that continues to amaze me is the bond between humans and animals. And well, life itself continues to amaze me! Every time I walk outside, into the smallest bits of nature, even just a strip of grass or a plot of dirt... its all amazing.
