Overview
About Me
I am Emilie, an outgoing and easygoing Frenchie that mostly enjoys meeting new people, and learning new languages and cultures around a glass of wine or good food.
I am really sociable and always enjoy heating people’s stories, learning a new recipe from a different country, someone’s favorite movie, etc!
I am passionate about what brings people together as a society/community, so I studied sociology. I have then decided to specialize in urban sociology and care a lot about developing qualitative public space for people to meet and more sustainable and healthier cities for citizens.
I have done WWOOFing in Italy for one month and in Denmark for another month and therefore love to exchange and I am used to thrive in contexts where I do not know anyone or anything!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
🌞I am not on CS to save money during my trip but to meet locals that I would not meet in hostels, hear their stories, and share!! I don’t use CS all the time during my trip because to me it is important to bring a good mood and wanting to connect and have the energy for it! Even though I am really sociable, sometimes I prefer to say in hostels or on my own! 🌞
One of my favourite things in the world is to meet people from all over the world and hear their stories while sharing food. I have met a lot of people while travelling and on volunteering workaway projects. My roommate and I are always lending or couch to friends of friends that we do not know so now I have already been doing some sort of Couchsurfing for a while! Now I want to expand the practice!

Music, Movies, and Books
Could not live without music. I can definitely enjoy every style but always really drawn to indie rock.
So hard to choose only a few movies! One of my favourite movies is Mommy by Dolan (and so many others). I also really like Bad education and Talk to her by Almodovar and Au revoir les enfants by Louis Malle.
Always enjoying a good novel but reading poetry sometimes is essential.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Teach, Learn, Share
Languages mean a lot to me and I can always offer to teach some French, English, Spanish or Swedish!

I would love to hear your travelling stories!
