About Me
Hi, I'm Emilie!
I’ve always loved discovering new cultures, which is why traveling is so important to me. I’ve tried different ways of traveling, but taking the time to visit several cities and places within one country is my favorite — no need to rush. I’m also a foodie, so trying local food is always my default mode when I travel.
I speak French, English, and Spanish, and I’m currently learning Chinese. Languages are a big part of my life, as they’ve allowed me to meet and connect with so many interesting people.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
What makes traveling so special isn’t only the places you visit, but also the people you meet along the way. I’m on Couchsurfing because connecting with locals and fellow travelers is something I look forward to every time I travel. I always learn from others, and I’m genuinely interested in getting to know their stories. It’s also great to meet locals who are happy to show you around their city.
Interests
Travels aside, I spend my time learning languages cause it's what gives me the opportunity to exchange with so many different people around the world! It is also useful in the professional world so I try my best to learn efficiently. I also love reading (I like to read different genres but my favorites are fantasy and self-improvement books). I began photography and dance when I was living in Tunisia.

Throne of Glass, The Poppy War, The Bright Years, Becoming, Atomic Habits, etc.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I’m happy to have had the chance to try new things while being in other countries. I was part of the journalism club during my semester abroad in the US, and it was a really great experience. I started photography and urban dance while living in Tunisia, and they’ve stayed with me ever since.
Teach, Learn, Share
love helping people practice French when they need it. I took part in language exchanges back in Tunisia, and I really enjoyed it.
Learning about culture and history is something I particularly enjoy, especially when I discover it unexpectedly through people who are passionate about it.
