Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Well I don't know, I just made my profile today! It just sounds quite fun meeting new people while staying at home, and also meeting local people doing the same when I'm visiting a new place.

Interests

Coming from the swiss mountains and living now by the lake, I really like my country and sharing it with visitors. As a good swiss I love hiking and would be happy provide my trails knowledge ;) and when comes winter I do ski as well, even if I'm more a summer liker.
I love to travel (but I guess like quite everyone subscribing by couch surfing...), see new landscapes and meet new people. I'm basically moving all the time to my mountains, for visiting friends all over Europe or discovering a new place.
When I'm not travelling I work as a free-lance architect and love my job and spend quite much time with it.
And after work I enjoy going to see a movie or a concert, having a drink on a terrace (and sometimes after the one another and finally ending the evening dancing in some underground club), playing boardgames and sometimes role games, or reading a good book (because sometimes I do get tired!).

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm quite into fantasy, currently I'm reading "a song of ice and fire" and I have my yearly habit of watching "the lord of the ring". But I also read many other things, any kind of novels.
In the movies I quite like everything as long as it is not too mainstream. I'm a fan of Wes Anderson and Ken Loach (not really related I know...)
I like rock music the best, but there also I'm quite open from country to electro, as long as one can dance on it.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm quite a good cook when I have time so we can have dinner together, and I would also be happy to show you around the places I like in Geneva (at least in the weekends and in the evenings, and I know a lot of bars!)
