Hi travellers ! We are Eloïse (19) and Emilie (18), two French students currently in Norway for 1 year. We are studying in France together and are roommates in Norway. We are studying in Bordeaux, near the ocean, where we love to spend our free time surfing, swimming and diving. Eloïse comes from La Roche-sur-Yon, on the West coast, near the ocean, and I'm from Castres, near Toulouse, la ville rose, in the South West of France.

We love travelling together, going on adventures (we just came back from a 2 weeks road trip in Iceland), that's why we both decided to come to Norway ! What we like most is to discover new people, learn from them, their culture, their background and their experience. We are quite talkative ;)

We have common passions, such as going on adventures on a whim, as climbing a mountain at 2am to see the sunrise, cooking, or quieter activities, such as going to the cinema, or museums. Because of our studies, we are also very interested in the international press, and in societal issues, such as feminism, politics, the environment, or culture in general. We are also very interested in history, which is why this year we are studying Norwegian history and mythology, as well as Norwegian media in the democracy of northern countries.

Otherwise, more personally, Eloïse likes to write and travel, plays piano, loves sports, espacially Squash ! On my part, I like animals, sports (espacially swimming), travelling and anything related to the marine environment !

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We are on Couchsurfing to meet people and to travel easily in Norway and abroad. We would also like to learn from people and different cultures, and we think that travelling can take a whole new dimension by meeting local people !
We would be glad to meet you if you come to Bergen, but unfortunately we are sharing a flat with other students, so we cannot accommodate you in Norway. However, once we return to France, you are welcome to stay with us!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Going abroad for a year at only 18 and doing several road trips with friends and unknown people ! The last one was in Iceland, two weeks ago !

Teach, Learn, Share

We would like to learn the customs of the country we are visiting, its history, traditions, and who knows, maybe make new friends! We can share our personal experiences to learn from each other, learn many things about France, some languages or practices (Eloise with the piano, Emilie with first aid, French cooking...).
