ABOUT ME

I am Emilie, I am 29 and I'm a nurse
i don't really know how to describe myself. As far as i remember, i wanted to travel, i remember being a kid and dreaming i was lost on an island and had to survive out of coconuts. I thought it would be such an adventure!
Now when i think about traveling, i like better the idea of "living" in the place for a little bit before going somewhere else. Not always the case but definitely a way to learn a lot more about the culture, the language, the way of living.

only in morocco so far (and New York). It was an excellent experience.

i don't like having to ask someone to sleep at their place but everytime i did it ended up being a fun, learning and fulfilling experience.

So yeah, feel free to ask me and come stay at my place!

兴趣

I'm intrested in many things but most of all the simple things in life, eating and discovering new flavours, i love cooking (unfortunatly i need to follow a recipe otherwise it ends up being not good! does that make me a bad cook? i can't tell) good wine, the one that changes flavour on your tongue from one sec to the next one, hiking, snorkling, bicycling, snowboarding, music, breath taking landscapes, card games, board games...

movies : i dont watch many movies anymore but from the ones im thinking of, my favorites would be Braveheart (just thinking about mel gibson screaming FREEDOM at the end), the constant gardener, le peril jeune, Effroyables jardins, goonies, willow...
books : i read a bit when im traveling, i often have a book or two to swap
music : love all kind, love discovering new music

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Its nothing crazy but to me it means a lot. This happened on my way to Istanbul (i was going there to visit a friend). On the plane i was talking with my neighbor, and after 2 hours he invited me to his place in Kappadokia... this is how i changed plans and discovered a amazing part of the world, with amazing and welcoming people. (it was couchsurfing without having to go through the website! the good old fashion way!) This is mainly what i like about traveling, you never know what tomorrow will bring. Just stay open-minded, trust people, i mean go with your instinct and everything goes easy... or sometimes not as easy but it's also part of the trip!
